Haylands Barn Wedding | Laura & Hamish

Laura & Hamish reached out to me early 2022 about their wedding at a barn on their farmland near Petworth, Sussex. We scheduled in an engagement shoot at their farm and we walked discussing plans for their photography. This was a few weeks prior to their wedding and the preparations for their barn were in full swing.

On the day, I met Laura and her bridesmaids getting ready at home, lots of laughs, it was a really great morning. Just before the first look with Laura’s dad, I captured some stunning bridal portraits of Laura before leaving for St. Giles Church in Graffham. Hamish got ready with his groomsmen at a Cottage also based on the farm.

The ceremony went without a fault and to celebrate, the guests threw confetti as Laura and Hamish walked with wedding certificate in hand to the postbox to post their wedding documents away. After that, they blasted up the road in their quaint convertible Volkswagen beetle back to the farm.

Champagne and canapes awaited the guests when they arrived back at the farm. Laura & Hamish made such an amazing venue out of their barn, and in the future plan to hire it out as a wedding venue, so I am very blessed to have been one of the first to capture such an amazing wedding at the barn, and I’m sure there will be many more amazing weddings in the future.

Later on in the evening after their first dance, everyone joined in on the dancefloor, and The Zoots had everyone up having a great time. The clouds and rain rolled in the evening, so I finished off the day with some lovely couple photos in the rain.
